Here's a baby blanket that I just finished for Mikell's nephew. I showed her my blankets and burps that I have made and told her that I wanted to start selling them and she had me make this one right off the bat :) The colors are bright but the pictures make them look a little neon.

Second Grade Teachers
Here a picture of the teachers I work with. Meghan in the middle teaches 3rd grade this year but is switching to 2nd with us. April on the far right is going to have her second baby and taking some time off to be a mom. We are definitely going to miss her. That leaves Jeri, Mikell and I from this year and we are adding one more to the crew: Kristin. We have to go out to dinner so we can really get a chance to visit because in between recesses and lunch time we don't get much visiting time in. Thanks for all the laughs and advice girls!

Trip to Arizona
This weekend we went to Pheonix/Tucson, Arizona for Nate's cousin Matt's wedding. They got married at the Mesa temple and then we headed down to Tuscon for the reception. Thats Nate's parents (Craig and Denise) and the newlyweds (Matt and Afton) and us. I feel a little large in the group picture; I know I'm tall and yes they are short, but putting us right by each other makes me feel like an Amazon Woman (and I had flat shoes on). My belly is showing a little bit, but I'm thinking the print makes me look bigger all over. O, I know that the newlyweds look young, they are actually 24/23 and just have baby faces. 5.15.2008
Babysitting
Here's Addison! Nate and I got to watch her last Saturday while her parents went to the temple. I was nervous because I didn't know what her sounds mean or her routine (thankfully Sonrisa uses a timer to keep track of it all) . It worked out great and we had fun with her. Later that afternoon I was telling Nate how anxious I was at first with watching her and how once I woke up from our nap and my heart jumped because I couldn't remember how long she'd been so still (so I move to make sure she was ok) but I calmed down after a while. Nate said that we was a nervous wreck the whole time and one time he looked over and all three of us were napping he forced himself to stay awake to make sure she was ok. He's such a sweetie! I know he'll make a great dad. Thanks for letting us watch her Soni and Kelby!
Blanket

Here's blanket I made for my friend April's new baby boy, Parker. Its a flannel strip quilt and I loved picking out the cute material - it was fun to do an outdoorsy pattern compared to the regular baby stuff. Nate was funny because he really liked it and wanted it to be one to keep, but I'll make another one. I hope you enjoy it Parker and April :)

Baby and Birthday
Yesterday we had a doctor's appointment and the tech really pushed to get me an ultrasound. I was worried we wouldn't get it because they were running behind, but we did. It was so cool! I know if you've had a kiddo already you know but, I just didn't know how to feel except amazed. I couldn't see it at first, then a detailed spine and ribcage and then he flipped over and we could see his fist move up and down. We couldn't get a clear view when we went to get a picture but this is the head and back - I know the picture is blurry. I asked if they could look to see if its a boy or girl, but they didn't really try to see. So we'll just wait until June to find out. I keep calling it "him" because in my dreams its always a boy but I don't know for sure.On a side note, today I turned 25. I have never been one to worry about age and knew that I just wanted to enjoy each stage and not rush through them. When I was younger I always felt mature for my age, like I always had more on my shoulders to keep me from just being a kid. I think that its just me, that I took on the responsibilities myself. And when I went away to college I just enjoyed myself - getting to finally fill in my skin and be myself. I know 25 seems like a big change (then 30, then 35, 40 and so on) but I fell like I finally caught up. I can accept my strengths and (plentiful) weaknesses, but that's just who I am. I'll continually try to make myself a better person instead of trying to find my place. I know life continually changes, but its nice to know that everything falls into place.

Cowkid Quilt

I found this adorable cowkid quilt kit a couple months ago and knew that eventually I would use it (come to find out sooner rather than later). I added in the denim because I thought that it needed it :) and just loved all the colors together. I went back and bought several yards of the border to save for future projects.I am usually in the process of making several blankets at a time, so as I finish them I'll post them. I'm not bragging, just sharing. Plus you could let me know if you'd like a handmade gift sometime.

Nice View
If you really know me, you know how much I miss the beautiful views of Sheridan, Wyoming. Since we bought our house last May there is one reminder of the part of Wyoming that I miss, these alfalfa fields. I know it might sound cheesy but I miss those wide open spaces of rolling pastures, green grass and cows. This town is growing and at times I feel confined by all the people, traffic and buildings. Its nice to see green grass, sprinklers and every so often the occasional cow.
Blog Background
I was wandering around in blogland (jumping from different people that I know) and found this cool site called Shel's Scraps and got my cute new background. She makes them and even tells you how to change the codes. Hey if I could do it, anyone can. If anyone has any other cool sites for layouts and stuff please let me know!

Name's Hidden Meanings
So, I believe that there's some truth to astrological signs (I'm a Taurus and I think it matches) and I like to see if there are other things that are true about in relevance to my birthday, name, etc. Well I saw this on someone else's blog and thought I would try it. Its Your Name's Hidden Meaning and it so did not fit me. I know that I am a type "A" personality and have very strong personality traits, but I just didn't like what it said about me. Try it for yourself and let me know if it works for you.
