Fishing in Pine Valley. It was much colder this time! We went to a different part of the stream (than usual) and Charlize & I went on a little walk of our own. I found that silly face in the mud and showed her that cute caterpillar!

Birthday Present from Aunt Cheryl. She loved how soft it was and even better that it had a dog AND a blanket with it! :)

CALIFORNIA TRIP

We went to LA to support Danielle as she was one of the Homecoming Princesses. :) Josh played in the band so we got to see him perform too!

To the beach! We went down to San Diego and Charlize got to play in the ocean for the first time! Cousin Robbie came with us and we met up with Sonrisa, Kelby, Addison and Brecken. It was too chilly to play in the water (well all the way) but Charlize loved it!

Charlize's 3rd birthday!

For Halloween she wanted to be Rapunzel from the movie Tangled, so we incorporated the fun into her birthday party. This was her first to have a friend party too. Thankfully I found some fun resources for examples of games and decor. I made the tower out of sweet rolls and Styrofoam. Then added the vines and leaves with frosting. We put artificial flowers in the cupcakes and had jello-boats for a treat. Charlize helped me make the banner and *Loves* to play with the yarn braid that Nate and I made. :)

How to keep all of the kiddos entertained? We played "Pin the Frying pan on Flynn" which became a spontaneous game of tag. We colored pictures of the characters from the movie, and decorated sun-shaped sugar cookies (Nate made them for me!)

I made pascal blowers for each of the kiddos :)

Friend gifts! :) Such sweet kiddos to help Charlize celebrate her birthday!

After the friends left, we had dinner for the family. :) Aunt Diana, Grandpa Craig and Grandma Denise, Great-Grandpa Coach and Great-Grandma Lorraine, GG and Papa, Una (Grandma Patte), Brinlee & Kimber Morris stayed, Addi and Aunt Sonrisa had to head back to Enterprise, Aunt Eleanore& Cousin Fallon, were there to enjoy the yummy brauts, potatoes and salad.

This Halloween, Charlize wanted to be Rapunzel. A teacher friend let us borrow a beautiful Rapunzel dress and I found an adult wig that matched her haircolor and put braids and flowers in it. I dressed up as Gothel, the 'mother' in Tangled that actually stole Rapunzel. Very few people got my costume, they thought I was just a witch. Well, Charlize liked knowing we were the characters from the movie, and I did my best to squeeze into the closest dress I could find.

I brought her to the school parade :) and then that evening we went to Grandma and Grandpa Brinkerhoff's. Cousin Addi and Brecken came with us for a little while as we went around to a few of the newighbors. Then she had fun passing out candy to all the kids that came up Trick or Treating.

I just love this picture of her holding the little frog (supposed to be a chameleon, but I couldn't find one!) She was just adorable with that wig on. :) Definitly fun to have her to dress up with!

Flagstaff, AZ over Labor Day weekend!

We traveled down to some cooler weather in Flagstaff and had fun with Nate's family. Its been a tradition to meet The Struthers' (cousins) from Tucson and have some fun! We went playing in the Cinder Pits

We went to the Arts Festival and Charlize's favorite part was the petting zoo! There were fluffy bunnies, chickens, goats and even puppies!

September 25th, 2011

Charlize received this kite on Easter and she's been asking to go fly it. No wind in St. George (and a hot summer) haven't made it the best conditions to go out and fly it. However, on a Sunday drive I had Nate stop at the park and we had to run to make it fly.

After all that running, we sat on the grass and Nate tried to show Charlize how to make it whistle :)

We met some friends at the Splash Pad the weekend before school started (several of my teacher friends with kiddos) and Charlize was so excited to go on the new carousel. April took her with Parker and Breken (I couldn't do the spinning being sick) and she wasn't happy about not getting to ride it over and over. I told her we'd go when Daddy got off work...

But we ended up meeting him at the dentist. :) Charlize's first dentist visit and she was definitely leery about what was going on. The hygienist was great and so was Dr. Denos about making her feel comfortable. She loved getting to take her own toothbrush and treat bag home.

My sweet girl! I'd been sick from the pregnancy for most of July, but was still able to somewhat keep up but that heat hit in August and I was SO SICK. Nauseated so much worse than I was with Charlize's pregnancy and I felt so bad that my last few weeks of summer weren't as fun with my girl because I was so sick. She knew what I wanted to eat - cereal.

GG and Papa Liske gave her this bunny statue (which was proudly displayed by her framed bunny picture and handprint from Grandma Denise). She's loved everything 'bunny' since she got her's for Easter. One afternoon, she just fell asleep while playing.

Charlize gets to spend Mondays and Wednesdays with Aunt Eleanore and cousin Fallon. One day, I loved seeing her hair in this princess braid! I can't do this, but Aunt Eleanore did! :)

One morning I was shocked to find her blinds open when I went to get her up. I instantly searched the bed for her and made sure she was there. Urgh, she must have my horrible sleep-waking/sleep-activity and pulled it up at night. Needless to say, the string is now up high so she can't get to it.

Another fishing trip while in Pine Valley. A successful too!! I didn't go (urgh the heat just made me sicker) but Daddy and Charlize had fun!

July 2011 - Lake Powell Trip

:( Where are my pictures?? I can't find them on my computer, even though I uploaded them to facebook! This is to remind me that I need to get those pictures off and put on the blog! It was an eventful and fun trip!!

July 2011 - Panguitch

We went to Panguitch over the 4th of July weekend. We got there on Sunday the 3rd and while Nate set up the trailer and got the horses situated, I persuaded Charlize to got take pictures with Mommy. Loving the cooler weather and its allowing me to feel better.

We went over in the old grandstands around the track. Lovely peeling white paint and a Dandelion puff or two to blow.
When she was done taking pictures we went to check on Nate and how things were going. She loves to help her Daddy!

Playing around on the grass, I was able to get a few more pics, but she wasn't really up for cooperating. Still, such a sweet girl!

We went out to the Tebb's Ranch to visit with them and I even got to take their family pictures up there! We had quite a time waiting on the storms to pass and getting attacked by mosquito's.
