For the New Year I got a new ride. Here's the new Mom Mobile. We took it to Tucson to put some miles on it and get it ready to haul by the time we got home. Turns out we'd end up hauling alot sooner than that.

Nate's cousin Steven is leaving to serve a mission in Independence,Missiori and we went to see him and his family.

Well, boys-will-be-boys and we ended up needing to haul Devan's truck home. Thankfully the cousins had a neighbor who had a trailer we could borrow to haul it on. Some of the tires were questionable so we planned on it taking longer than usual.

We had just gotten to the outskirts of Pheonix when we had a flat tire on the trailer. Ironically it was the best tire that the boys all predicted would be the one tire that would make it home. Easy off and on with a spare and on the road again.
Here we have a very happy baby! There's also a very happy mommy behind the camera because although she smiles so much these days, the moment a camera comes out smiles are hard to capture. We had a long way to go and I knew eventually I'd catch one.

We pulled off at Camp Verde to fuel up and as we were flipping around to get back n the road a tire simply popped off. We didn't even notice, but Nate's parents saw it and we stopped to check what had happened.

The axel had actually broken and what else could we do but wire it up and go slower.

Here's our super trucker Nate.
I'm hanging in here pretty well, right?! We're gonna make it eventually . . .

Between Fredonia and Colorado City we blew the second tire and again were really lucky to have a place to pull off and get it fixed before it got dark.

Another stop meant another chance to get out of the carseat and Charlize was really happy since her patience was beginning to wear thin. I went out to take pictures and Aunt Diana got her out for the break. They look a little worried about this one so I reassured them that we'd be back on the road in no time.

Yea! We made it -
12 hours from Tucson to home, but safe and happy too. She was ready to stretch out on the consol and check out the driver's seat. Hey cowgirl - you're gonna be a truck girl too, just like you're mama.
Although the trip home was long it was a nice weekend and we're so excited for Steven! We were definitly looked over since the problems with the tires could have been alot worse.
